Yesterday was May 6th and Dominick turned 15 years old. We can always remember when his birthday is, "five-six pick up sticks". Jeanne made a chocolate bundt cake from scratch, and we bbq'd some "Duck Surprise" (they are deadly!). Lorin and Gunther came over for some cake too.

Everybody got new cell phones. The previous two year contract was expiring, so Jeanne wangled a deal and got new Razr phones for her and the boys.

We also put in an order for a new laptop for Dom, the Dell XPS M1710. A screamer with a 17" screen and an Intel Core duo. It was listed under "Gaming", but he was adamant that his interests were purely academic. These interests just happen to require a 17 inch screen with a Nvidia graphics 7800 card that plays Doom at 58 frames per second and is reviewed on Cnet as "If you're a hard-core gamer looking to play the newest games at the highest settings, this is the best system....". Unfortunately, having gone from a 2.5 to 3.5 GPA his first semester as a high school freshman, I am left with little defense against these onslaughts on my wallet! He also contributed to half of it using the EE bonds he has recieved for b-days traditionally from his aunt Jackie, who is his godmother. Thanks Jackie!
