Dominick and his friend Julian doing some juggling at their school's "International Day" festival. There were food and games booths, with each nationality serving their native specialties. There was Japanese, African, Spanish, Korean, Mexican, etc.. and of course, burgers and brats. It was put together by the Parent-Student Association, and Jeanne was a volunteer worker, as well as contributor of several dozen rice-krispie bars.

They also held a talent show where Benjamin's band "The Devil's Nose" appeared for their first live performance. They sang "There's a Monster in the Courtyard", an original song written by Ben-jammin. It was a smashing success, and the boys really had a lot of fun. They had to bring in a new lead singer at the last moment, as their first one had a massive case of stage fright and nearly passed out at the audition. He hyper-ventilated and said he was having heart palpitations, so they corralled their buddy Kevin, known for not being short of spunk and bravado, to step in, and he did a great job. Johnny pulled off a mesmerising drum solo in the spirit, if not in the style of Keith Moon. Ben-jammin finished the song off with a rockin' guitar jam.
