Operation successful. Tendon harvested as graft and screwed in place as new ACL. Meniscus blown out with a "bucket tear" and could not be salvaged on the one side. I watched the whole thing on the tv. It was amazing. The surgeon did mention he rarely has requests to do an acl reconstruction with a local anaesthetic. Evidently, people don't normally like to watch, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
