It is a holiday in Geneva today, and that's just Geneva, as it is called "Geneva Thanksgiving". It is described as:

A religious holiday with a ecumenical background instaured in the 19th century. No relation with the American Thanksgiving.

Anyway, we won't look a gift horse in the mouth, so we headed out for a walk in the Jura. Above, Dominick takes a break along the fairly easy path we followed for a couple hour stroll. Afterwards we had a very nice, long lunch which included foie-gras, snails, frog-legs, a big steak with morilles, cheese and a creme brulee, all washed down with a fine 2001 Cote du Rhone. It was a very french lunch!
