The moon rising at Grands Montets in Argentiere, France. Jeanne and I escaped for a Friday of early season skiing. The weather, as you can see, was excellent, and the snow was superb. The day before had dumped about a foot of fresh powder on top of 2 feet they had gotten earlier in the week.

There was only a couple of runs open, but it was a great warm-up run the season. Jeanne decided we should do this every Friday during the winter! Certainly avoids the crowds. I am sure it will be a zoo over the weekend. The slopes usually don't open for another week, so all the eager-beavers will be swarming all over this place.
