I am getting into this picture collage thing in Picasa now...pix above from last years trip to Bob's Cabin. I am planning on a 3 day weekend next week to visit Bob again with my mate Paul. Bob is now a full-time fishing guide. You can find out more about him on his website .

Looking at our options, we have many rivers to choose from in the area. On one of those options Bob says we :

can fish a half-day on the trophy trout waters of nearby Tooni Cove Farm, where I'm the exclusive guide....This water can be compared to the trophy trout venues on the Soquee River. This is 3000 feet of premium big-fish water on the Toccoa River, where rainbows run 3 to 10 pounds and average around 5 pounds, brookies average 2 pounds, and the potential is there to hang browns well over 10 pounds (but our actual return on the browns has been sparse). A trip on Tooni Cove Farm exclusively reserves the riverway for our party and includes the opportunity to take home two fish each - averaging 3 to 5 pounds -- from the flogging pond. These could make for a fine Saturday night fish fry!

When asked for what flys to bring, in usual guide fashion, he succintly suggests:

..the top patterns will include size 10 and 12 beadheaded Woolly Buggers in black and crystal olive, size 10 and 12 Stimulators in yellow and orange, size 18 and 20 parachute Blue Wing Olives and Blue Wing Olive emergers, size 10 and 12 beadheaded Stonefly nymphs in black, brown and yellow/golden, size 14 and 16 beadheaded Copper John in green, red and chartreuse, and maybe a couple mayfly patterns such as parachute Adams in sizes 18 and 20 and a parachute Sulfur or other light-colored/creamy colored parachute-styled mayfly pattern.
