A sweet shot of the crib from this summer when everything was bright and green. Well it is all brown now, with the leaves coming down hard off the trees. It is "Stripers on the Fly" time on the lake with pods of fish feeding on the surface in "blitzes". We have been out a few times chasing them, and had a couple on but no meat in the fridge yet. The water is in the low 60's and the lake down several feet. There has not been much rain this fall. Not like the 12 inches a week we got for several weeks in a row last fall. So the weather has been very pleasant.

We ran to "Wilkes", our favorite butcher and picked up a fresh turkey to be deep fried southern style on Thanksgiving this week. And we have some venison a friend gave us defrosting for the BBQ this evening. It is good to be home after trips to Montreal, Singapore and Geneva in the last few weeks.
