At a slope-side restaurant above Verbier, these two cows are hanging out. They each consider the other their "better half". It was a cheese fondue lunch with wild mushrooms. Very delicious!

Speaking of better half's...Last weekend we stayed home and celebrated Jeanne's b-day. She got to do whatever she wanted which meant we all laid in bed watching old movies all Saturday morning, then went downtown to an English Pub for pints of beer and big Pub Burgers. We slow-roasted some funky black pig roasts in the evening with a big potato gratin and some St. Emilion Grand Cru.

It's storming in central Europe this week. They shut the Paris airports down for 12 hours due to high winds. While it rains here, it is snowing in the ski-fields up higher in the Alps. May try to get away later in the week for a day, before heading to Asia on Saturday for a week of meetings in Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.
