A striking x-ray of my brother's dog. They took him in because he was limping....full description below....

He has been limping for the past few days so we took him into the vet to have it checked out. It also just happened to be around the time of his yearly appointment, so she gave him a once over, as well. She couldn't find anything that seemed broken, but did notice that he tightened up his tummy muscles when she tried to feel his organs and thought maybe he had an enlarged liver or spleen. So, we decided on shoulder and leg xrays to look for possible tumor or arthritis that might be causing the limp, as well as an abdomen xray. She comes back in and says his leg looks fine, so it must be simply a pulled muscle or something, but look at this! She plops up his xray and clear as day he has a 3 inch NAIL in his stomach!!!! This was about 5PM tonight, so we took him to the emergency clinic where they did an endoscopy and got it out. By 9:30 PM tonight he was back at home and now he is resting upstairs. Miracle dog! No punctures or ill-effects (except his liver is a little swollen, probably from zinc in the nail).
